Description
We have developed combined treatments for reducing airfoil trailing edge noise. Each treatment features a serrated base structure covered with porous, velvety, or porous velvety layers on both sides. Compared to conventional serrations, these new treatments offer improved broadband noise reduction across a wider frequency range and are less sensitive to misalignment with local airflow.
