Description
The capture of NO2 using porous adsorbents represents a promising strategy for mitigating this criteria air pollutant at low temperatures, such as ambient conditions. However, achieving effective low-temperature NO2 removal without releasing nitric oxide (NO) as a toxic by-product has remained a grand challenge. The invention unlocks the potential of zeolite adsorbents to address the long-standing challenge of complete NO2 removal at low concentrations and temperatures without causing secondary NO pollution.
